Double Eagle Scotch Ale in a pint

Brewing the Double Eagle Scotch Ale

Posted on Posted in Brewing, Featured

The Double Eagle Scotch Ale celebrates the eagles and the Scots with big, bold flavors in a strong ale. Scotch Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. We re-created this process by reducing the first 15 gallons of the sweet wort down into a thick caramel. This produces a deep copper to brown in colored brew with ruby highlights.
